The Escorts Library was established in the year 1978 to cater to the needs of the Escorts Research and Development Centre, Faridabad, India. Since then the library has grown to a collection of more than 9000 records, which meets the learning and research needs of the entire Escorts Group.
In September 2011, the Escorts Library installed VIRTUA, the Integrated Library Management System, from VTLS Inc., USA, and automated its library operations. January 2014, was yet another milestone which saw the creation of the eLearning Centre.
